0871, 0845, 0800 Non Geographical Numbers and Carrier Pre-Selection from UK Freephone

Carrier Pre-Selection or CPS is now the preferred routing method for outbound calls. Instead of using the Least Cost Routing (LCR) software built into telephone systems, CPS programming is done by BT at your local exchange.

The major benefit of this is that LCR programming is often corrupted or wiped out during simple things such as power failures. Should this happen then your calls will simply all route over BT and you will not know this until you get your first invoice from BT, which by then is too late (unless you use a company like UK Freephone who monitor customers call data on a daily basis and would notice pretty quickly should your calls not be routing to our preferred carrier(s).

CPS programming is free to all our customers and allows you to have your calls routed by one of our many major carriers – saving you money whilst not compromising the quality of the calls. UK Freephone only utilise the services of major carriers to ensure that the quality of UK and international calls are of the highest quality. We can offer huge savings on international calls, an area in which we specialise.
